TfL Make Error On Latest Tube Map

London got a new bit of Overground track today. One of the knock-on effects is that the city’s transport maps must be updated to reflect the new reality. Unfortunately, TfL failed to get their newest map proofread. Can you spot the small error in the key to lines (and it’s not the missing Bakerloo, that’s just the way we cropped it)?

It’s very nitpicky, but we know you like that sort of thing.

With thanks to keen-eyed reader Peter Bjork for the tip.

Waterloo & City and DLR labels are the wrong way around.

      Spot on. Well done.

Perhaps it’s a serendipitous glimpse of future transport projects… a DLR extension from Bank to Waterloo?

There was talk of extending it to Victoria at one point, wasn’t there?

wow. i literally looked at that, and the map for a good 10 minutes before giving up after not noticing a mistake. Thought i’d read the comments to see if anyone else thought it was a hoax. Now i just feel silly for not seeing it!

Shouldn’t it be ‘TfL makes error’ what with TfL being a singular entity and all? Just saying….!

That depends on whether we mean the entity as a whole or are using ellipsis for ‘the people at TfL’. Either can be used. ;-)

Isn’t the Bakerloo line missing? That’s wha I though ti was…

Ok, I just realised you wrote it’s not the bakerloo line – just the way you cropped it!
