Londonist And @LDN Join Forces

We’re clucking proud to announce that Londonist has come of age and flown the nest.

For five and a half years, Gothamist’s wing nurtured our fledgling site snug alongside our far flung sister city blogs. But to ensure we remain more Londony than the Artful Dodger’s Oystercard, we decided it was time for us to seek a local mate this side of the pond. Like frisky pigeons, we think we’ve found our perfect match in the guys behind the @LDN Twitter account and are embarking on feathering our love-nest, right here in London.

So what does that mean, we hear you tweet? Well, not a great deal will change. The site will remain affiliated with the Gothamist network but we’ll be able to stretch our wings, wiggle our backsides independently and have the chance to grow like never before.

We’re actively looking for commercial partners and sponsors to roost with us. If you’re interested in Londonist for what it is and what it could be, get in touch by emailing hello@londonist.com to find out more.

You can rest assured we’ll continue to bring you the best and most diverse view of the city in news, reviews and events; the history and future of London. But what else do you want? Help us keep on top of the game. Ruffle our feathers and tell us where to buck up. These are exciting times for Londonist, and we want to share them with you. Email us tips@londonist.com or drop us a line through Twitter (@londonist) or our Facebook page.

And thank you for your support. You’re all flocking great.
