On Remembrance Sunday, pictures taken in the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey from the Londonist Flickrpool.

A service of remembrance takes place at the Cenotaph this morning at 10.30am with the 2 minute silence at 11am. Tune in to Radio4 or BBC1 to follow it live and you can watch highlights of the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance on the BBC website.

    Wonderful to see so many young people, as well as record crowds this year. With the Saturday evening televised prog from the Royal Albert Hall, followed by the spectacle in Whitehall, it always strikes me as a great weekend of reflective thought and entertainment. Please let the politicos do a better job quickly, to end the need for such strains on our fabulous armed forces and their families.
