Ah, harvest festivals, a time to dig out the corned beef from the back of the cupboard, shove it in a cardboard box along with some other unwanted groceries, and thrust it upon some unsuspecting OAP whilst singing 'All things bright and beautiful'.
Fast forward to the 21st century and this traditional harvest gathering gets a queer makeover. The fat of the Land celebrates all things chubby and gay along with the abundance of nature, in a kind of wicker man meets village fete fiesta. There's art, activities, displays, eating, competitions and stalls and the day culminates in a rendition of the fat queer harvest hymn and a fancy display of cloggery courtesy of Blackhorse and Standard Womens North West Morris dancers.
