The 53rd BFI London Film Festival is in full swing, as actors, directors, writers and producers jet in to support and promote films and the festival. Once we'd got over the incongruence of seeing Leicester Square (more synonymous with chain bars, kebab-soaked pavements and overpriced restaurants than glitzy Cannes-style dressing) draped in red carpet and swaggering with celebs, we rounded up the highlights of the fantastic first week in pictures.
