This Saturday, Spitalfields Market will host Japan Matsuri 2009, a celebration of Japanese arts and culture. From 10am until 8pm, a range of activities, from Ikebana flower arranging to Taiko drumming and Bon dancing, will be part of the festivities. For lovers of Japanese cuisines, more than 20 stalls will be offering delectable dishes such as yakisoba, takoyaki, yakitori, okonomiyaki, tempora, sushi and more. One of our fave local Japanese restaurants, Tsuru, will have katsu curry and large glass of Akashi Tai honjozo sake available for 7 quid. Sounds like a fun and yummy way to spend a Saturday. Find out more at www.japanmatsuri.com.

Very nice! I just hope the japanese tidbits aren't going to be as extortionate as the many sushi restaurants in London.
