Unchained Mini-Guide to Stoke Newington Church Street

Hallelujah for Stoke Newington Church Street! For a long time our friends in the area have been evangelically singing its praises. And quite right they are. The entire street is peppered with Unchained gems from end to end, ranging from florists to footwear, vintage fashion to bicycles. And with a great selection of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, your pilgrimage can easily last a whole day. Praise be!

Mudfoot and Scruff - Most definitely not your average shoe shop. The window displays are actually living gardens.

Hub - There are two of these great clothes shops to choose from. One for girls, one for guys. Take your pick.

Olive loves Alfie - If only my parents had this much taste when they bought my children's clothes, I wouldn't be so embarrassed of family photos.

EarlyBird - If you're getting a card for someone special, you want it to be a special card, right?

Clissold Wines - Not just a great selection of wines and beer - great advice too.

Flowers N16 - So much green stuff it spills out onto the street and into their back yard.

Casino - A well-curated collection of vintage-wear.

Of Cabbages and Kings - Just off Stoke Newington Church Street lies this haven of eye-candy from independent and local designers.

The Spence Bakery - Yum. That's all there is to say.

Route 73 Kids - Treat the little cherubs. Bring them here to spend their pocket money.

Two wheels good - A passionate bike shop for those of us who don't just dress in lycra shorts.

If you want more of a sneaky-peek at the shops, have a look at our flickr page.
