Spurs To Benefit From Real Spending?

With the Madrid club's locker room (not to mention wage bill) struggling to juggle so many new egos, they've decided to offload a few superfluous players, a fact that eagle-eyed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy hasn't missed: he's flown out to the Spanish capital to see what bargains can be had. Two familiar names on the list are former Premier League regulars Arjen Robben and Gabriel Heinze, while striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is also on the Spurs shopping list. The trio could cost a combined £30 million, plus wages, signing-on bonuses, haircut expenses, Tommy Hilfiger reward card scheme and the other usual sundries. With the north Londoners ready to make one of their regular assaults on the top four, a fresh crop of players is needed, particularly as Harry Redknapp is eager to offload misfiring forwards Darren Bent and Roman Pavluchenko.
