Shoot and Eat: Dim Sum at Pearl Liang

Londonist feels that some of the best dim sum in London isn't to be found in Chinatown or even Bayswater but in a restaurant situated in the middle of modern office blocks just behind Paddington Station. We love dim sum - it's just another way of getting as much variety as possible into one's stomach without having to resort to a lacklustre buffet. The dishes here are fresh and delicious and beat many other restaurants offering dim sum at the same price point (or perhaps even higher). Highlights at our last dim sum lunch included the cheung fun (below) and fried octopus cakes while the only bum note was the monk's vegetable dumplings. Dim sum for three (along with tea) worked out to only £12 a head - a total bargain by any standard.
