That's your bath, that is.

Now that we've given the Thames a spring clean, it's time to turn our Wombley attentions to London's canals. British Waterways want volunteers to help rejuvenate the towpaths and infrastructure of Britain's extensive canal system. Londoners can help in several ways and, unlike the Thames cleanup, dates are available at weekends:

Thursday 26 March

Brent Reservoir: small tree works, board walk repairs, and litter clearance.

Bulls Bridge, Grand Union Canal Paddington Branch - bridge painting, graffiti removal, litter and vegetation removal.

Cheshunt visitor moorings, River Lee - lock painting, towpath surfacing works, litter clearance, vegetation works.

Friday 27 March

Slough Arm, Grand Union Canal - reed clearance, hedge and tree works, graffiti and litter removal.

Saturday 28 March

City Road Lock to Islington Tunnel, Regent's Canal - general spring clean and planting.

Sunday 29 March

Brent Reservoir - small tree works, board walk repairs, and litter clearance.

If you fancy getting involved, further details can be found here. All cleanups run from 10am till 3pm.
