In Pictures: The Big Thames Cleanup

Photographer Mike King was down in Greenwich today, getting snaps of environmental volunteers cleaning up the Thames. The project, organised by Thames21, takes advantage of a low-tide + Thames-barrier-closed combo, allowing the volunteers to reach much deeper parts of the river bed.

It's not too late to help. If you want to join in the cleanup, head down to Island Gardens tomorrow from 8.30 till 11.00. All equipment provided. Full details here.
