Are you under 26? Broke? Up for a bit of culture? You could be in luck. The Arts Council is launching a scheme to give away theatre tickets to people under 26 for the next two years.

We spotted thinking woman's crumpet Rupert Penry-Jones on BBC Breakfast this morning wondering where the next generation of audiences are going to come from. Numbers are healthy at the moment, but all too often you're in your seat, you look around and it's like being surrounded by your parents' friends. They hope the freebies will spark a passion for theatregoing in young people and keep them coming back.

The scheme starts on 16 February. Keep an eye on the website for more information and how to book tickets. A ton of London theatres are involved so there's no excuse for not going...
