Ladies and Gents, set your status to "moist anticipation," cultivate those stomach-fluttery butterflies, and start thinking of some health hiccups you can turn into sickies; there's seven, just SEVEN days to go until the amazing Times BFI 52nd London Film Festival kicks off!
Unlike Cannes, and Venice, and those other high profile film festivals you hear about, the beauty of the London Film Festival is that it's a public film festival.
So you, yes, even you can get a ticket to one of the 15 world premiers, and walk up the red carpet with the stars! And if you missed booking ahead, you can always get returns and last-minute stand-by tickets 30 minutes before each screening.
Plus, it's cheap. You can get weekday matinee (any show before 5pm) tickets to all screenings for just £7 at Odeon West End and £6 at all other venues. All the big Gala films have a second daytime screening after their big red carpet premiere – so you can catch a new film, months before its national release, for just £7.
Which we think is rather good going compared to normal London cinema prices.
The 16-day festival opens on 15 October with the world premiere of FROST/NIXON.
And, cos this is London, and our Film Festival rocks, director Ron Howard will also be watching, along with cast-members Frank Langella, Michael Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, Toby Jones, Matthew Macfadyen, and (fanfare) the subject of the film, Sir David Frost!
