Review: Harvest Twestival
Twestival

Londonist arrived at Harvest Twestival a little late last night but was, nonetheless, overwhelmed by the party atmosphere and by the sheer number of attendees. The event was gleeful, tipsy and (we can only imagine) the first of many more high profile Twitter-inspired events in London (all promoting, RSVPing etc was conducted via the micro-blogging site extraordinaire, Twitter).

Held a few steps from Trafalgar Square at Doon (Albannach’s swank downstairs bar, this “tweet-up with a social conscience” provided attendees with the opportunity to donate cash and food to The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, a community centre based in Trafalgar Square that works with homeless people in Central London. All profits from the night went to the organization as well.

As expected plenty of London’s twitterarati (Annie Mole, Whatleydude, Sizemore ...) were on hand for the shindig, meaning equal parts putting usernames to faces and catching up with old friends. Free music, food and drink rounded out the reasons that made this bash such a hit. And all for a good cause too, ah.
