Expect to Pay: £3.85 for a small salad, £4.95 for a sandwich, £5.50 for a full roast lunch or large salad

Rating: 8 out of 10

Imagine Sunday roast available Monday through Friday as a take away lunch outside your place of employment. Well, if you work near one of Fuzzy’s Grub’s six locations, such gluttonous musings are the stuff of reality.

Londonist paid a visit to Fuzzy’s Fleet St location, where we noticed a worryingly long queue but were pleased to discover it moving fluidly and to be aptly managed by Fuzzy’s assembly crew. We ordered the leg of lamb full roast lunch with plenty of trimmings: roast potatoes (mashed potatoes are served as well), roasted veggies, peas and carrots, sage and onion stuffing, and Yorkshire pudding all smothered in gravy and mint sauce. Crackling, which we passed on this time, is another available trimming. After paying a rather economic £5.50 for such a feast, we headed over to nearby St Bride’s churchyard to indulge.

Londonist has every intention of indulging in some of Fuzzy’s Grub again, as does the enthusiast glider of the Glider Goes Dutch blog, who enjoyed his Fuzzy’s Grub sarnie to such an extent that he has actually considered “booking an Easyjet flight for a few hours just to get my greedy hands on one of those Mega Bap Meals … Forget McDonald's, Burger King and Subway - this place should be all over the world!” With respect to feelings of fervour for Fuzzy’s Grub sandwiches, glider’s not alone. JJ of A Tea But No E asserts that Fuzzy’s makes “truly the ultimate sandwich,” but did have this word of caution: “It's a terrible idea for lunch though - I was desperate for a sleep all afternoon!” We empathize strongly with JJ’s afternoon drowsies but reckon lunch at Fuzzy’s Grub is worth the price.

Thanks to Londonist editor Hazel for suggesting Fuzzy’s Grub!
