Whitechapel Gallery

Whitechapel Gallery

Since its founding in 1901, the Whitechapel Gallery has become a very popular art hub. Its first exhibition, which included the Pre-Raphaelites, Constable, Hogarth and Rubens attracted 206,000 local people. Still today, the gallery is largely free to visit, and supports art coming from all over the world. Famous artists like Picasso, Rothko and Hirst have been displayed here.
