Dulwich Picture Gallery

Dulwich Picture Gallery

The building is the oldest public art gallery in England, opening in 1817. The airy and bright gallery spaces were originally designed by architect Sir John Soane, who used an innovative and influential method of illumination, featuring overhead skylights. The gallery's collection features Old Masters, European Baroque and in British portraits from Tudor times to the 19th century.
