Praise Brie! The World's First Cheese Conveyor Belt Is Coming To London

It's surely every cheese lover's dream — a conveyor belt of... well, cheese.

That's exactly what's coming to London later this year, when Pick & Cheese arrives at the yet-to-open Seven Dials Market.

A 40-metre long conveyor belt forms the centrepiece of the bar, which can accommodate up to 38 avid cheese-munchers in one sitting. Just like at a sushi establishment of this kind, plates will be colour-coded for price — so all you need to do is pluck whatever takes your fancy, and get stuck in.

Up to 25 different types of cheese — from UK-based farms and producers — will whizz round at any one time.

Cheeses will be paired with exotic condiments (coolea with hazelnut brittle; fresh ricotta with sherry cherries) and accompanied by a range of natural and organic wines.

There'll be charcuterie from Tottenham’s Black Hand Food, and — get this — ice cream pioneers Happy Endings will dish up brie and blue cheese flavoured ice cream for dessert. Rude not to.

Mathew Carver, the man behind the idea, is one of the latest traders to join KERB's food venture at Seven Dials Market.

Pick & Cheese will form part of Seven Dials Market, in September 2019.
