Jubilee Line Tube Train Filmed Running With Doors Left Wide Open

Commuters are used to being told to 'mind the closing doors'. But this was a case of 'mind the wide open doors'.

Rory Brown tweeted this video of the doors of a Jubilee line train he was on near Finchley Road, with one of its doors left wide open. According to Brown, "at least 10 different doors along one side" were in fact open, while the train was in motion.

TfL responded to the tweet, saying "...the train was taken out of service and currently under investigation so thanks for letting us know. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope your journey was okay."

Brown's tweet sparked a debate on Twitter, as to whether or not the emergency alarm should have been activated — some saying it would have been more dangerous to stand up and do so.

Jubilee line trains reach a top speed of 62mph, although the train in the video appears to be going somewhat slower.
