A relatively new addition to London's roads, e-scooters have faced their fair share of skepticism.
Of course — like all vehicles — e-scooters are a lot safer when people know how to use them properly.
This August and September, Tier — one of London’s e-scooter operators — is partnering with Bikeworks, to provide free training sessions.
Available to anyone 18 or over with a full or provisional driving licence, the two-hour sessions are led by fully qualified instructors. They're held up to twice a day on Saturdays and Sundays throughout August and September, and will initially take place in Ealing, North Kensington, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
Some of these sessions are already available to book.
There are also plans to increase and extend sessions to other boroughs, such as Richmond and Lambeth, soon.
Tier is one of three operators taking part in TfL's year-long e-scooter trial, which launched in spring 2021, and has been rolled out across a number of London locations.
