Last year alone, WrapUp London collected almost 15,000 pre-used winter coats, distributing them to people who need them.

In its 15-year history, the initiative has now reassigned some quarter of a million coats — passed on to frontline charities to reach people who are homeless, refugees or families in emergency accommodation.

Want to be part of the goodwill this winter?

HandsOn London is once again asking Londoners to sift through their wardrobes, dig out old coats, and donate them at over 40 designated collection points located across the city. You'll find those points dotted across London from 3 November-7 December 2025. Find your nearest here.

You can also volunteer by sorting coat donations on various Saturdays at the Wembley hub; more details here.

This winter will be especially tough for many — what with the continuing cost of living crisis, and energy bills set to rise yet again. The simple gesture of decluttering your wardrobe could make someone's day — or even go further. As WrapUp London say: "A coat doesn't only provide warmth, it is often a gateway for someone to access services to help them get back on their feet."

WrapUp London collections take place all over London, from 3 November-7 December 2025.
