One Of London's Craziest Annual Events Takes Place This Weekend

It's a big weekend in London this weekend, with Oxford and Cambridge going head to head to vie for first place.  The course is set, the crowds will gather, and the goats are ready. What? You didn't think we meant the Boat Race, did you? Why would we want to watch a bunch of sweaty students plundering their way down the Thames when we could fill our hearts with joy at Spitalfields City Farm's annual Goat Race?

The event, which coincides with the Boat Race each year, sees two goats — one representing Oxford, the other Cambridge — racing around the cobbled farmyard while crowds cheer them on. Tempted? Get an idea of the madness you can expect here:

The Goat Race takes place on Saturday 24 March 2018 from 12pm at Spitalfields City Farm. Tickets are £15 adults (children free) and need to be booked in advance. The event normally sells out, so get on it.
