This Venue Is Serving 'Doggy Guinness' This April

"Yours is the small one, right?"

1 April might be behind us, but the quirky press releases never let up for Team Londonist.

In the latest bid to cash in on the insane popularity of the black stuff, food hall Market Place Vauxhall is offering free 'doggy Guinnesses' for National Pet Day, which falls on Friday 11 April. On Saturday 12 April and Sunday 13 April, the free pooch pours continue, although you'll need to purchase a human Guinness first.

Acknowledging that feeding Fido 4.2% Irish stout would get him yanked away by doggy social services faster than you can say 'whoseabadboy', these diddy glasses of 'Guinness' are in fact a dark bone broth crowned with cream. So unless your pet is vegan, this tipple won't leave them feeling ruff rough.

While the mocked-up photos show the broth served in tiny Guinness glasses, we're not sure this'll be the reality. But SEO research tells us that if there's a chance to post an image of a cute dog with a cute Guinness, then we should bally well do it.

Free 'doggy Guinness', Market Place Vauxhall, Friday 11 April (no purchase necesssary), and Saturday 12/Sunday 13 April when you buy an actual Guinness.
