Climb On The World's Largest Bean Bag... Inside Banqueting House
Anya Hindmarch Chubby Cloud London Fashion Week 2018

As Fashion Week stunts go, it's a niche one. Designer Anya Hindmarch is bringing the world's largest bean bag to London... and putting it inside Banqueting House.

The stunt is inspired by the cloud motif used in the designer's AW18 collection. Visitors will be allowed to climb on the 'cloud' and gaze up at Banqueting House's Rubens ceiling — the largest work by the artist still in its original location in Europe.

Events will take place on the cloud too, ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous; morning meditation and fashion talks, to bedtimes stories read by Poppy Delevingne (it wouldn't be a Fashion Week without at least one Delevigne making an appearance) and a reading of the Shipping Forecast, performed to live music. At this stage, we're not even going to pretend we understand the fashion industry.

Events cost £15, while general admission to the cloud is £7.50. All need to be booked in advance, with money raised going to Historic Royal Palaces, which looks after Banqueting House. There's a Chubby Cloud pop-up cafe on site too, with cloud inspired cakes, and of course a shop, where you'll be able to get your hands on the fashion collection (released to coincide with this event), plus souvenirs including Chubby Cloud cushions and eye masks.

Before you start planning which haute couture outfit you're going to wear to this Fashion Week shindig, bear in mind that you'll be given overalls to wear over your clothes while you're on the cloud anyway.

Anya Hindmarch was also the designer behind the 'Chubby Hearts' balloons which popped up around the capital during London Fashion Week in February 2018, coinciding with Valentine's Day.

Chubby Cloud takes place 14-16 September 2018 at Banqueting House. Tickets for the cloud and for events on the cloud need to be booked in advance.
