Dozens Of Vintage Boats Will Moor Up Near Tower Bridge This September
40-odd boats are on show as part of the Classic Boat Festival

About 40 vintage vessels will moor up near the Tower of London this September, as part of the Classic Boat Festival.

Dunkirk Little Ships; the Havengore (which carried Winston Churchill's body during his funeral procession), and the Royal Rowbarge Gloriana are among boats that will be at St Katharine Docks on the weekend of 4 and 5 September.

You can go aboard various boats (although they won't be taking you very far)

You'll be able to board and explore many of the vessels, try a free paddleboarding session in the marina, appreciate the impressive skills of the International Boatbuilding Training College with a demo, and enjoy street food and live entertainment — including the Thames Youth Jazz Orchestra, who appear on the Sunday.

Classic Boat Festival, 4-5 September, free to attend. It's part of the Totally Thames festival, which runs throughout September.
