Celebrating its 20th year, Bermondsey Street Festival describes itself as "a powerful demonstration of what can happen when a community refuses to let go of its cherished traditions." It also happens to be a really fun day out.
On Saturday 19 September 2026, the salubrious neighbourhood a stone's throw from London Bridge is filled with an array of stalls, stages, street food and more. It's divvied into three main areas:
🐶 Leathermarket Gardens (11am-6pm): Events include a dog show, gentle jazz from the Gennaro Ricciardone Quartet, net-zero street cleaning comedy act Theatre in The Bin, maypole dancing, kids' karaoke and Yuba's Ukelele Band.
🎪 Bermondsey Street (11am-7pm): Stalls galore along the bougie thoroughfare sell prints, ceramics, jewellery, fashion and the like from indie traders. Street entertainers keep things interesting, and, of course, the street's plethora of shops, bars and eateries will be trading too.
🌳 Tanner Street Park (11am-8pm): This is where you'll find the music stage, feat. DJ sets from Pearl Factory, funk and soul from 15-piece collective Arch 57 and high-energy funk and disco courtesy of The Armoury. There are also food and drink stalls.
