Bone Appetit! Dogs Are Served Special Street Food At This Pop Up Market

Bone appetit! The first ever street food market for dogs arrives in south London this August bank holiday. There's human food too.

Doggy-style versions of street food dishes will be served up in Vauxhall this August bank holiday, in what's being billed as the UK's first ever street food market for dogs.

Market Place Vauxhall (which, to be fair, already exists as a human street food market) will become — what else — 'Barket Place Vauxhall' between Saturday 24 and Monday 26 August (the latter of which is National Dog Day).

Pooches will be given scaled-down versions of the dishes ordered by their owners.

Foodies are invited to bring their hungry pooches to dig into the likes of 'Pawsome Poke' from Inamo Sukoshi, 'Hound-dock & Chips' from Wicked Fish, 'Yorkie-shire Pudding' from Yorkshire Burrito –and 'Pawberry Shake' from Beirut Juice. The scaled-down doggy dishes will be handed out free when you buy the human equivalent.

If you're looking for a drink afterwards, the Black Dog pub (which Taylor Swift may or may not have sung about) is just around the corner
