"Pubs right next to Tube station" would make for a fascinating mini-essay. Some are rough-and-ready places, where the clientele is transitory and the effort is minimal. Others, like this fellow, would be great pubs in any geographic context.

You can't get much closer to the Tube than the Clapham North, which even shares its name with its neighbour. The two face off across the Bedford Road junction — and the handsome blue and orange building is the first thing you see when emerging from the Underground.
Inside, it's every inch the typical Young's house: clean, smart, spacious with plenty of tables along the windows. Both modern and cosy. The bar selection is also typical Young's with their familiar casks, and a healthy population of mainstream kegs. A full menu of superior pub classics also awaits.

The pub has a lively events scene, with regular parties, quiz nights, and an upstairs cocktail bar that can be hired out. All this with a Tube station 10 seconds away, and the Overground less than a minute. A fun and easy place to meet mates for an out-of-centre night out.
