Paddington used to be a real problem area for pubs, the problem being that there weren't many good ones for decent beer. That's changed in recent years, with the arrival of Craft Beer Co's The Bear, and this branch of the now widespread BrewDog chain, converted from the defunct Draft House.

It's a great spot, perched on the end of Paddington Basin as though to welcome pilgrims who've walked into town along the Grand Union Canal. You'll want to sit outside in warmer months, although the ceaseless noise from the adjacent Praed Street might be a bit of a disruptor.
Inside, the pub is larger than it looks, thanks to a sizeable back room. The best seats are round to the right, where padded benches nestle in semi-private booths.

Otherwise, there's not much to say. If you've been to a BrewDog, then this is exactly the usual mix of high-percentage (and priced) beers and smarter takes on junk food.
