Tickets for the award-winning stage adaptation of My Neighbour Totoro are available for as little as £19 right now.
Following two sell-out runs at the Barbican between 2022 and 2024, the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of the 1988 Studio Ghibli film is currently running at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in Covent Garden.
Currently, tickets for the Olivier-winning show are going for a song, with plenty on sale for £31 — plus some in April costing less than 20 quid a pop — talk about fantastical!
For those who haven't seen My Neighbour Totoro, it's somewhere between a coming-of-age tale and a fable, told in its stage form through huge, elaborate sets that shift from village to forest to school, small and huge-scale puppetry — and a small orchestra performing a new arrangement of the original score, written by Joe Hisaishi, composer of the original film soundtrack.
The story follows kid sisters Satsuki and Mei, whose father moves with them to a small village to be nearer the hospital where their mother's ill. Left often to look after themselves, the children are drawn more and more into the forest that borders their village — peopled with magical creatures, and protected by an ancient being, Totoro.
£31 tickets can be snapped up on certain dates between now and August 2026. And if you're looking for a SERIOUSLY good deal, limited £19 tickets are available in the first half of April 2026. Our advice: don't hang around!
My Neighbour Totoro is at Gillian Lynne Theatre, with booking running up to the end of August 2026.
