It's not really the kind of job that pops up on Monster; the Tower of London is looking for a Beefeater (aka Yeoman Warder) to join its ranks.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

...ensuring that all our visitors receive a Royal Welcome... conducting large parties of visitors around the Tower, relating its history and stories, contributing to the safety and security of the Tower and taking part in ceremonial duties and parades.

Judging from a recent tour we went on at the Tower, a dark sense of humour and booming voice thats scare the wits out of kids and adults alike helps, too.

Ladies: contrary to popular belief, you're welcome to apply. The first female Yeoman Warder was appointed over 10 years ago.

Want to learn more about the role? We wrote an article on how to become a Beefeater. (Hint: you'll need to quit your job in media and join the military sharpish.)
