'F*ck Boris' was the predominant sentiment at a rally in Russell Square last night, protesting former Mayor of London Boris Johnson's new role as prime minister.

Describing itself as a 'street festival', the event was planned as a protest against Johnson, who it claims is "a proudly racist, sexist, homophobic pr**k".

Organisers say that hundreds of people descended on Russell Square, before an estimated 10,000 marched to the gates of Downing Street. Here are some of the placards they carried (they contain strong language — you've been warned):
