ABBA are already performing Dancing Queen on loop for all eternity in London. Next year you'll be able to see Elvis Presley too.
Beyond-the-grave immersive concerts* up their game in the capital from May 2025, when Elvis Evolution sashays into Immerse LDN at ExCeL Waterfront in east London. Centred around Elvis' iconic '68 Comeback Special, the 110-minute show — which premieres in London — promises to whisk audiences through the King of Rock 'n' Roll's life story, replicate seminal performances and provide the occasional 'never seen before' moment.
The King-size caveat to all this, of course, is that Elvis died in 1977, and so Elvis Evolution will be created using cutting-edge technology and generative AI. Yup, we're talking Elvis holograms. You might say he's All Mocked Up.
Tickets for Elvis Evolution, which start at £75 (pretty steep, given that Elvis is decidedly NOT in the building) go on sale from Friday 25 October 2024. Otherwise, you can watch the '68 Comeback in full on BBC iPlayer for free.
*Aware that ABBA are not technically dead.
