Dozens of floral installations take over the streets of Chelsea this spring... and we're not talking about the Chelsea Flower Show.
Floral festival Chelsea in Bloom is back for its 20th year, and this time the theme is Flowers in Fashion. While fictional fashion powerhouse Miranda Priestley may not approve of florals for spring, we certainly do. It'll translate as blooming lovely homages to iconic fashion moments, legendary designers and London's creative scene dotted around the area.
Shops, restaurants, bars and hotels each display their own take on the theme, created by professional florists. Last year, 109 local businesses took part, and it's expected to be even bigger this year (from our personal experience, wear comfy shoes if you're planning to visit them all, as you'll certainly get your steps in).

Claiming to be London's largest free flower festival, Chelsea in Bloom runs at the same time as the nearby Chelsea Flower Show, and it's free, making it accessible to anyone who doesn't fancy paying the entry fee for the main event in the Royal Hospital's grounds. There are usually various events and activities taking place in Sloane Square throughout the festival, so keep an eye on the website for updates.
Chelsea in Bloom 2025 takes place 19-25 May. Keep an eye on the website for further details.
