A new restaurant in Shoreditch is offering all-you-can-eat lasagne for £20 — a challenge we can absolutely get on board with.

Senza Fondo, an American-Italian restaurant — or "lasagneria" — opening on 24 February, specialises in big plates of comfort food, such as fettuccine alfredo, and a lasagne-style pizzette. But the star dish on the menu is that all-you-can-eat lasagne, served alongside stacks of mortadella with pistachio. Off-menu dishes such as burnt lasagne ends are available on request, and tiramisu, apple pie and gelato are among the items on the dessert list.

It's giving Lady and the Tramp vibes... though that menu's more likely to lure Garfield in.

Need your lasagne fix on the go? Head for the restaurant's lunchtime hatch, where "lasangwiches" will be available in limited quantities every day. Full details of that one haven't been revealed yet, but we're getting carried away imagining a carb-centric version of the wine windows of Florence — though the reality will probably be a lot less magical. Still, it involves lasagne, so we'll be swinging by sometime for our fix.

Restaurateur Joe Worthington takes the theme and runs even further with it, opening The Kevin Lasagna Bar at the back of the restaurant. Named after the Italian footballer, it's aimed at diners who like to arrive early for a drink before dinner, serving a house Negroni for £5. There are also Italian spritzes and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Senza Fondo, 1 Rufus Street, N1 6PE. Opening 24 February 2025, reservations available now.
