Hit Disney+ show Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a sixth season... and this time the crime-solving trio are coming to London.
The Emmy-winning comedy-drama — which stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez as three podcasters who live in an NYC apartment building with an unsettling murder rate — enjoyed a flurry of plaudits when first released in 2021. It's wooed A-lister appearances of the ilk of Meryl Streep, Renée Zellweger and Sting.
In the past five years, Only Murders seasons have come thick and fast as the murders themselves (I'm still only halfway through season four), and we're now told the sixth instalment has been green-lit. It will see Oliver, Charles and Mabel venture to the UK, and London, for their next crime-busting investigation: "Well, looks like our fam is going to London y'all," Selina Gomez wrote on Instagram recently.
That's about all we know so far; it's not clear when filming will be (though presumably it'll take place next year) or indeed where exactly it will be (surely some major London landmarks will feature, and perhaps there'll be some chocolate-boxy Thursday Murder Club-esque locations). The name of the show comes from the fact that early on, the three agree they'll only podcast about murders that take place in their own building, the Arconia. That doesn't mean, however, that there won't also be a mysterious death or two right here in London.
