You Can Sponsor A Piece Of The Piccadilly Circus Lights Switch-On For As Little As £2

In darkness for the longest time since the second world war, we haven't had a flicker out of Piccadilly Circus' famous lights since January 2017.

The six screens, and their dazzling displays of capitalism, were powered down to be replaced by a single mega-screen — which will be able to broadcast live video, news, weather and sport — as well as all your favourite Coke ads.

It'll be switched on in a (literally) dazzling ceremony at some point in late October — when it'll become the largest screen of its kind in Europe.

In the meantime, there's an opportunity to sponsor a colour chip (minimum donation £2), which will form part of a 3D clock, that will countdown the unveiling of the new screen in October.

We've gone for a nice Londonist blue... although whether we'll be able to spot it on the night is another thing. Anyway, all money raised goes to Barnardo's.

Find out more information about sponsoring a chip here.
