Would You Stay In This Capsule Hostel?

The capsule has landed. 26 of them, to be precise — at a hostel in London Bridge.

Inspired by the concept that's long been popular in Japan, China and Singapore, these bedrooms-in-miniature at St Christopher's At The Village invite backpackers to unwind in their own private space  — each kitted out with free Wi-Fi, plug sockets, USB charging points and even mood lighting (the guy in the image above is so listening to Prince).

There is, apparently, enough space in each capsule for the occupant to dry their hair, change clothes, and do their makeup (presumably smacking their elbows on the walls and ceilings a number of times in the process.) And the press photos suggest there's room for a late night guest too... just be careful you haven't been hitting the curry corridor in Tooting.

Prices for the capsules start at £25 a night — possibly worth it if only it muffles the sound of that person who inevitably has a fight with a carrier bag in your dorm at six thirty every bloody morning.
