Pine for the Christmasses of the 1980s, when an enchanting animation called The Snowman was new on the scene, and the tins of Quality Street were so deep they went up to your elbows?
Booking.com has just revealed a 'Home of Christmas Past' in Clapham — decked out in foil bunting, multicoloured lights, chunky tech and vintage toys (think Trolls, Care Bears, and that phone thing on wheels with a face).

Technically you can stay at the house — and for the price of just £19.80 a night too — although it might prove trickier than, say, finding an affordable flat in Clapham.

It's only up for grabs for two nights — from 13-15 December — for up to four people. The stay (which is really a competition prize, rather than a bona fide booking) also includes a tour of London's Christmas lights, ice skating, afternoon tea on the Thames, and champagne at the top of the Shard (which folks in the 1980s most certainly wouldn't have been doing).

The winners will be able to douse themselves in Advocaat, soaked up with vol-au-vents and Viennetta, and momentarily live in a time when Donald Trump was nothing but a blowhard property developer, yet to besmirch the Home Alone film franchise/world.
For a chance to win, be ready to try and book the Home of Christmas Past here from 10am on Tuesday 10 December.
