"We're on our way to Wembley..." goes the famous football chant. But what if you were on your way UNDER Wembley?

The overly-fertile brain of illustrator Mark Cowie has conjured up such a scenario — an elaborate operation deep below the hallowed turf, in which pies are baked fresh before being shuttled up via express lift; silver is hewn from a mine, to make all those trophies the England Men will never win; and a top secret School of Diving and Simulation teaches students how to fling themselves to the ground. Referee!

It's also reassuring to see that matchday officials who should've gone to Specsavers have an escape tunnel, whisking them to the safety of Northwick Park, and a fast Tube out of north London.
