"I find your lack of hake disturbing" - Darth Vader is doing a spot of air angling at the Royal Exchange.

Obi-Wan Kenobi once said "Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them" — but in this case, this is exactly what it looks like.

With a lightsaber for a fishing rod and his legs dangling over the edge of the mezzanine, that is Darth Vader (well, his likeness, anyway) doing a spot of air angling inside London's swanky Royal Exchange shopping centre.

The art Star Carp Wars installation is the work of Dutch artist Frank de Ruwe, aka Street Art Frankey, who originally created the fishing Darth for the 2021 Amsterdam Light Festival.

What's Darth hoping to land from up there? Well the Fortnum's restaurant down below does do a tasty Dover sole...

He might be The Chosen One, but Darth Vader isn't the only installation of note at the Royal Exchange right now. On your way into the building — which is just by Bank station — you'll find yourself being papped by these canine Gillie and Marc sculptures:

Darth Vader can be seen fishing at the Royal Exchange until 5 March 2023, and it's free to go see him.
