Imagine taking a sip of your favourite wine and savouring the taste... Now imagine it is decanted from an anonymous bottle and the liquid is entirely without colour. Alongside a line-up of other wines, would you recognise it? Could you even tell white from red without your sight, let alone distinguish Verdelho from Viognier?
Blind Wine Tasting is a fun opportunity to find out what your tastebuds and sense of smell make of a variety of grapes and vintages, and put yourself in the shoes of a vision impaired wine-drinker. Are you more discerning and adventurous in what you like without your sight or will any old plonk please you?
The Royal London Society for Blind People’s London Without Limits Festival blind wine tasting event at Vinoteca completely sold out but the charity is offering an exclusive, private experience for one lucky Londoner and three of their friends. The prize winners will don blindfolds to taste three different wines, a selection of bar snacks, and put their tastebuds to the test.
The private event can be taken at Vinoteca Farringdon, Marylebone, Soho or Chiswick before the end of July 2015. Enter your name and email address below, we’ll randomly pick a winner after 5pm on 15 July and then it’s bottoms up!

London Without Limits Festival is taking place throughout July, encouraging Londoners to experience our fine capital using all their senses except sight. There are a whole host of great events taking place, including super sensory tours of Vauxhall City Farm and a blindfolded gig at Wilton's Music Hall.
