Oxjam Is Hosting A 24 Hour DJ Marathon
Superstar DJ duo Basement Jaxx are sure to wow with their set.

24 hours. 24 DJs. This is the ambitious plan Oxjam has concocted as part of its month-long festival.

This DJ marathon takes place from 1pm on 12 October-1pm on 13 October — in Work Bar in Angel, and aims to raise awareness of Oxjam, and get fans involved with joining its fight against global poverty.

They've got some amazing names to play, including Basement Jaxx, Medlar, organiser Goldierocks, Simian Mobile Disco, B. Traits, London mainstays Horse Meat Disco and loads more.

The event's host and mastermind Goldierocks.

One particular highlight to keep an eye out for will be the Morning Gloryville takeover at 7am on the morning of 13 October. The pioneers of sober morning raving will strive to get the crowd moving at that early hour.

This is now the 10th year of Oxjam, which does an amazing job at supporting local music scenes and raising money for charity (£2.8m overall so far).

Two portions of the event are ticketed, and places are extremely limited for the intimate space, but that should only serve to make the experience all the more special for attendees.

Highly anticipated electro and techno wizards Simian Mobile Disco.

You can follow the marathon via a stream on the Oxjam website.

Click here to guarantee your place for the Wednesday night 7pm-3.30am session. For the more adventurous of you, have a morning boogie between 7am-10am on the Thursday. Otherwise, the event is open to the public from 1pm-6.30pm on 12 October and 10am-1pm on 13 October. Voluntary donations accepted on the door.
