Is This The Biggest Cash Prize For A Pub Quiz In London?
Quizmaster Tom poses another fiendishly tough question at the Horn of Plenty's quiz night, where the top prize is now £1,500.

We think we've found the biggest cash prize for a pub quiz in London.

The rolling jackpot at The Horn of Plenty in Stepney hasn't been won for 10 weeks, and now stands at £1,500. That's enough to enable you to live rent-free for two months, buy you 300 pints, or get you 0.3% of the way to buying an average flat in London.

Every Tuesday, quizmaster Tom Lissimore challenges the audience to pit their brains against questions on topics such as current affairs, music, photos, and a Family Fortunes round.

The winning team can choose to walk away with half the entry fees collected and a £25 bar tab, or gamble and be posed a really hard question. If they win the gamble, they take the entry money, plus whatever's in the bonus jackpot. If they get it wrong, they only get the bar tab and all the cash goes into the bonus jackpot, accumulating until someone wins.

As soon as the rollover jackpot reaches a few hundred pounds, everyone gambles, which is how it's reached such an eye-watering total, Tom tells us.

If you think you can answer questions such as: "In the world of music, what name is Leslie Charles more commonly known?"; or: "In what year did My Little Pony first go on sale?" you could be in with the chance of scooping the big money.

Reckon you know a bigger prize? Tell us in the comments.

The Horn of Plenty quiz night is every Tuesday from 8pm. Entry is £2.
