How do you fancy seeing in the New Year with the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum?

For the first time, the South Kensington museum is holding a New Year's Eve Ball in its Hintze Hall, giving partygoers a final chance to party with Dippy the diplodocus before he is removed from the museum and replaced by a blue whale.

Although pricey, it's bound to be a night to remember — choose from a ticket to the ball, or one with a three-course meal thrown in too, and explore the dinosaur galleries after hours.

A DJ will be playing pop, dance, disco, R&B and club music as you count down to 2017, with bars open all night to keep you topped up with drinks and snacks.

Last Dance With Dippy: New Year's Eve Ball takes place at the Natural History Museum, 31 December, 8pm-1am. Tickets are £130 for the ball, or £215 for the ball plus a three course meal, with a discount for members, and need to be booked in advance. Age 18+.
