Ducks And Dragons Released Into Paddington Canal

If you go down to Paddington Basin on 14 July, you'll come face to face with dragons, ducks and lions as part of the Dragon Boat Regatta.

Groups of friends and local companies will go head to head in a dragon boat race on the canal to raise money for Cosmic, a charity which helps children in intensive care.

If you fancy going along to watch the race, there's plenty to do on dry land including live entertainment, a dancing Chinese lion and traditional Chinese drummer. Street food will be available and a barge belonging to a well-known cider brand will be moored in the canal.

Prior to the boat race, Paddington's first rubber duck race takes place. Anyone can pay £3 to enter a duck, with prizes including Eurostar tickets to Paris.

The Paddington Dragon Boat Regatta takes place 14 July, 5pm-9pm. The Rubber Duck Release takes place same day, noon-1.30pm
