Want to help create a massive art installation? Then sign up to be part of The People Build, part of the Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, and help artist Olivier Grossetete construct a cardboard edifice that will be pulled into place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Watch this video to see a previous version of The People Build, in Norwich. That tower gets really high — and the knocking down again looks like fun:

You can sign up for free workshops to build the boxes, or turn up on 25 June to help it all be put together — or just watch.

Other interesting events happening at the festival include a performance and visuals projected onto The Queen's House to mark its 400th year. They promise pyrotechnics, which always make proceedings go with a bang.

There are also events in Eltham, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Woolwich and Bethnal Green — take a look at these listings and click through to discover much more.

Greenwich + Docklands International Festival runs 24 June-2 July and, with a couple of exceptions, is free.
