Inside London's Best Bike Shops: Sigma Sport

What's the best bike shop in London? It's a hot debate, and one the London Cycling Awards hopes to settle this year.

To help you decide which you want to vote for, we're profiling the four nominees, this time, Sigma Sport.

Sigma Sport is one gorgeous store — ensconced in trees and located by the river in Kingston upon Thames.

The service is just as beautiful; bike fits are free and, despite the glamorous setting, these guys are determined to have something for everyone — "whether your budget is £500 or £5,000".

After 21 years perfecting their art, Sigma has come a long way from its beginnings as the pipe dream of two enthusiasts. The shop is arranged over two floors; the ground floor is dedicated to hardware while the top deck has clothing and an impressive triathlon section.

Lycra-clad cycling nerds roam the store, pushing their wheels through the door without protest from staff, and in most cases leaving with a lot more than they intended to buy!

One of the most stand-out attractions of Sigma is that the people who work here know their onions. There are lots of them to help you out too, so you don't have that annoying experience of waiting half an hour just to try a saddle out.

Sigma simply want to get you back on the road in style.

Vote for your favourite bike shop and you could win a Bobbin bike — make your choices on the London Cycling Awards website.
