Workshops: Make This
Create your own mini London design mood-board with Ivan Bennet, Senior Industrial Product Designer at TfL in London Transport Museum's special pop-up design studio.
Memory Mapping: how would you illustrate a favourite place, route, memory or journey? Led by artist Stephen Walter, you can create your own map-based artworks to take home.
Plus, there'll be crafty fun with London Craft Club — take inspiration from the famous Paolozzi mosaics at Tottenham Court Road station, make your own mosaic coaster.
Talks: Listen To This
Hear Head of Design and Heritage at London Underground, Mike Ashworth talk about designed station environments, and the challenge of protecting artwork on the network.
Listen to artist Stephen Walter discuss the design and process of map making, and the experience of walking London's city streets.
Extras: Enjoy This
Buy two Gin Mare cocktails and get a bowl of olives or strawberries to share; then battle it out in a devilishly difficult design-themed pub quiz; and finally, dance the night away to fantastic tunes spun by in-house DJ Museum of Vinyl.
Designology Late is on 20 May, from 6.45pm to 10pm, with last entry at 9.15pm. Tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 for concessions, and can be purchased online at www.ltmuseum.co.uk. Download London Transport Museum’s free app here.
