Ever wanted to get up close and personal with a Great British Bake Off winner in the hope that some of their cake-creating wizardry would rub off on you?
2015 winner Nadiya Hussain — who will be baking the Queen's birthday cake on Thursday — is appearing in Fitzrovia next month to talk about identity, integration, and of course cakes. She'll be in conversation with journalist and author Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, and both women will be sharing their experiences of growing up Asian in the UK.
Cake to accompany the talk will be provided by Patisserie Valerie.
The event, organised by Asia House, is part of the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival.
Nadiya Hussain in conversation with Yasmin Alibhai-Brown takes place at Cavendish Conference Centre on 4 May. Tickets are £12 and need to be booked in advance.
